Overview

Our client is a state Ministry of Lands holding decades of title records in paper files. A title search could take weeks, and an application could sit on a desk for months with no one able to say where it was.

We designed and built the Land Registry: each application becomes a digital file that moves from desk to desk, and decades of paper records become a searchable archive.

Applicants can follow their file without a trip to the ministry, and staff work from the same record at every desk.

The problem

Applicants chase their files in person. Records go missing. Fees are hard to reconcile against applications. Leadership cannot see how long the process really takes, or where it stalls.

How it works

Applications as digital files. Received, survey, legal, consent and issued: every application moves through the same route, and every desk sees only what is waiting on it.

Search in seconds. Paper archives are scanned and indexed, so a title search shows the holder, encumbrances, survey plan and full history at once.

Revenue that reconciles. Fees are tied to the application they pay for, and ground rent is tracked per plot.

Applicants can check status. A simple tracker tells applicants where their file is, without a trip to the ministry.
